2 Christmas cards

Millie made 2 beautiful Christmas cards.  I just had to put them on the blog.  I believe she used Stampin Up products to make these cards.  I know you can't tell by the picture but there is glitter on the large pine tree.  Gorgeous cards Millie!

Card from a friend

A little while ago I placed a order with My Favorite Things.  I wanted to see what their paper was like.  Which I have to say it is wonderful.  Nice and thick.  Great for card bases and to even add layers.  I absolutely love their paper.  Next I got a some dies.  I have wanted the dies that make the piercing around the edges.  So I got the square dies with the piercings around them.  They work great.  I walked up to Millie's place and showed her some of the squares I made with the dies and gave her a few sheets of paper.  When I handed her the paper she started working out a card in her head.  Next thing I know she came down to my house with a card she made using the papers and a die cut I gave her awhile back.  It is such a sweet card I had to post it.  Thanks Millie!  Love the card!!

Silhouette Challenge #15 Print n Cut

I decided to give the Silhouette Challenge a go.  This challenge is using a print n cut design on your project.

Millie gave me a MS butterfly border punch for our monthly card swap.  When I found the print n cut design "house of 3 butterfly"  design id #9600 with a butterfly on it I just had to do it.  I used the border punch underneath the design across the middle.  It is such a cute punch.  Thanks Millie!

A owl card

Yesterday I pulled the cricut out and made a few cuts for this little hoot owl card.  I used the sentimentals cricut cart for the cuts.  I think I only used this cart once before.  After using it for this card I realized there are some cute images on this cart I haven't even used yet.

Owl and the little stamp cut came from sentimentals cricut cart.
Special delivery sentiment is a Close to My Heart stamp.
Roses were made using the Sizzix Flowers, 3-D Bigz die.
4mm rose buds came from Wild orchid crafts.
Leaves with the roses came from a ek tools flowers and leaves large punch.
Pattern paper is from Prima 6x6 paper pad Lyric.
Stick pin I made with beads from my stash.
Paper layer the owl sits on was cut with Spellbinders Celebrations pierced rectangles die.
Edges of the image and papers were inked with Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink.
I also added some stickles to the flowers and leaves but it is hard to see in this photo.

A day at the beach challenge

I made a card to enter into challenge #219 A day at the beach. Fantabulous  Cricut Challenge Blog.
I didn't have a lot of beach cuts on the carts I have but I did find a sandcastle on the Doodlecharms cart.

I had some neat nautical paper from Websters.  I just loved that whale in the ocean so I let the paper work for me.  Of course I had to add some glitter to the sand castle.   Add glitter whenever or however  you can....LOL!

Happy Birthday Card

I made a birthday card today.  I can always use a extra B-day card in my stash.
I used the color combo of blue, green, & pink!

Cuttlebug embossing folder "Happy Birthday" for the background.
The image is a Prima Marketing Inc. stamp.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is a Elizabeth craft designs die.
It is a A2 size card. The image is stamped on a Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large die and then placed on the Spellbinders Lacey Ovals die.  I used the largest die in each set.

A little princess card.

I made a card this week for a couple of challenges.  Since I have the summer off I thought it would be fun to get my creative mojo going by doing a few challenges.

I used the Lacy Labels cart on this card

A little late

Sorry I am a little late getting the last of the March swap cards posted.  I have been working on a couple SpongeBob & Patrick die cuts for the school.  Ok so now onto the cards.  This is Millie's cards.

This sweet ladybug card has a wonderful layered look.  I like all the layers and the embossing is great.  Sweet card Millie!

Here is what Millie did with the heart die that Kim gave her in the Feb. card swap.  Beautiful card Millie.  I love the colors.

Now on to the goodies Millie sent me.

As you can see Millie went with the ladybug theme this month.  The little ladybug tin is filled with mini candies.  Yum!  A ladybug tin cup for storing all those craft supplies.  Some ladybug socks to warm the feet.

A ladybug card with pretty flower clips.  A ladybug paperclip.  A note pad with sparkles.  A ladybug stamp.

Thanks Millie for a great batch of cards and goodies this month.

My March cards for the swap.

Time to start the March card swap.  Finally it is March and the snow is melting a bit.  It is still ice underneath but it is coming along.  The birds are chirping.  Spring is on its way.  Yipee!!

Now onto the March swap cards.  This batch is mine.  I will post Kim's next week.

The Spellbinder die cut Kim sent me last month is on the front of this tea cup.  I wanted to do something different then a card using the die cut.  This is what I came up with.

I bought the pattern for the tea cup box at the Silhouette store.
Tea cup box is by Lori Whitlock, design id #53794.
Heart die cut is Spellbinders swirled heart.
Patterned paper is by MME Honey.

I put this tag inside the tea cup box along with a few bags of Red Rose tea.  What's a tea cup without some tea right?  The sentiment stamped on the tag is the one Kim sent last month with the heart die cut.  I stamped it on the bottom part of the tag.  Added some bling I got at Michaels in their dollar bin.  I also used the MME Honey pattern paper.

Stamp by  www.drsdesigns.com

This little tag I made is just like the one I put in the tea cup except I added some different elements.  First off I want to say I learned how to make this tag and bow watching a you tube video by Live Love Scrap.  There may be other video's out there showing how to do the same thing but Live Love Scrap is the one I watched to make this.

I used Webster's pages pattern paper.
Stampin Up envelope punch board
Freckled Fawn paper clip
The ticket is from Making Memories
The Hello stamp is from Bo Bunny
The bling in the center of the bow is from Queen & Co. Twinkle goose bump.

Of course I had to tie everything together by making a card with a tea pot on it.

The teapot cutting pattern is from Kadoodle bug designs.
Teapot art work is by Melissa Deuss.
Embossing background is Sizzix Hero Arts textured impressions Dot Swirl
(Love this folder)
Sentiment was just printed off the computer not a stamp.
Flowers on the teapot are made using a small EK flower punch.
Small pearl flower centers are from The Paper Studio.

Now on to the goodies I sent them.

I put this cut little teacup stamp inside the tea cup with the tea and tag.

The sun is shining here today.  I wish you all a great day.

Cupcake card

When your stuck inside a lot with this bad weather you find some spare time to craft.  So I made a cupcake card.

I made the cupcake with Straight from the Nest cricut cart page 60.  I cut it at 3¼".  The background embossing I used Sizzix Hero Arts Textured Impressions Dot Swirl.  I am really liking this embossing folder.  The cupcake is sitting on die cuts from Spellbinders Label Eighteen.  The sentiment stamp is Studio 18.  I believe it is just like Studio G.  It is a old stamp and I've had it for some time now.

I am entering this card in the following challenge.

Last batch of Feb swap cards

Millie hand delivered her February swap cards to me just this morning.  School is cancelled today due to all the snow and ice coming our way.  Not to mention all the snow we already have piled up.  I believe we will end up being in school half the month of June to make up for all the snow days.  It will be a short summer vacation.  So I had time this morning to take pictures of the swap cards and post them.  Millie had a owl of a time with this batch.

This is just the cutest birthday card.  I so love the owl paper.  I like how she has the owl sitting.  Really cool.

This card is beautiful with the gold glitter paper.  The sweet owl she added to this one just fits the sentiment.  Another great card!

These are the envies she made to go with the cards.  Kim and Millie do a great job making envies with their Stampin Up envelope punch board.  The one they bought me for my birthday I use more for other things along with envelopes which you will see in the March card swap.

Now on to the goodies.  Millie is great for creating themes for her swaps as you will see here with the goodies she gave me.

I mean where does she find all this cute stuff.  Pretty clips on a cute owl.  A hanging ornament that says Best Friends.  Owl with hearts socks.  Felt owls and hearts on clothes pins.  So CUTE!

This here just knocks my socks off!!  The pink owl is hand cream and the little blue one is lip balm.  I mean how stinkin sweet is that.  The other is a owl knick knack.  Which will be sitting on the very shelf I used to take a picture of.  I mean really where does she find all the matching things for our swap?  I never match like this.
Great job once again Millie.

I hear it is to get around 40+ degrees the rest of the week.  Hopefully some of the snow will melt off but not to fast we don't need floods next.

Love You Card

I decided to make a card and enter some challenges.  Since they cancelled school for 2 days I had a little extra time.  We got hit with a good amount of snow.  They are calling for more tonight.  Enough already.  I am ready for some sunshine!

For this card I used MME Honey pattern paper. I used the Cricut lite Lacy Labels for the die cut.  I embossed the center using the cuttlebug swiss dots folder.  Added some pearls, flowers, and glossy accents on the hearts.

Next batch of February swap cards.

Kim's cards for the February card swap.

First off she sent a very pretty card with a embossed background.  She also made the envie behind the card.  I love the die cut she used.  Very pretty card.

Next she made a shaped card.  Cool card Kim.  She put a little butterfly in the center and stamped on the edges of the center.  Neat card Kim!

This card she made using a really pretty die.  I like the embossed background and the glittered sentiment.  Kim also sent me a heart die and the stamp with the same sentiment as on this card.  She sent a challenge to Millie and me to make a card using the die cut and stamp.  Guess I better get busy on it.

Now on to all the goodies she sent me this month.

What a cute package of hearts!  You did a great job on this project Kim!

Next she sent me some eyelets for my Crop-A-Dile.  Kim knows my taste when she picked out these adorable vintage tags.  I just love them.

Here is the die she sent me along with the stamp.  Great die Thanks Kim!!  Also the cutest little pocket book with some change in it.  So sweet.  I also like the pair of Valentine socks she sent.  I have them on now.  Keeping my feet warm.  It is cold out there tonight.

Of course what is Valentine's day without some bling!  Love the bling Kim!!

Thanks Kim for everything.  I shall get busy on creating something using the heart die and the stamp.

Millie will be the next batch still to come this month.

February card swap

I am so glad to get the month of January over.  It was a cold month.  At least in February we have the Winter Olympics this year, and as always Valentine's day.  I also have 2 birthdays this month in the family to celebrate.  That can help the winter months go by a little easier.  Now onto the swap.  Here are the cards I sent out this month.

This little honey bee card is made using MME Honey paper.  I also used the MME Honey stamp (Just Be You).  The flower in the center came from Michael's dollar bins last spring.  I wish I would have bought more of them at the time.  I love the centers on these flowers.

I just love fairies so when I seen this stamp from Prima I had to have it.  The stamp is called Fairy Rhyme.  The blue paper I used is from Piggy tales Georgie Porgie Collection.  I got this paper from one of their warehouse sale boxes awhile back.  I am such a sucker for warehouse sale boxes.  The yellow paper is from Webster's pages clean & simple line.  I believe I got the butterfly charm from Wal-Mart.

For the flower stamp I used MME "The Sweetest thing, Bluebell Remember stamp set".  I used Stampin Up Ink Not Quite Navy.  The pattern paper was also from MME Bluebell Bright Blossom.  I have a good bit of MME paper and stamps.  My LSS was having a good sale so I scooped them up last year.  You will probably see more cards done in the future with MME papers and stamps.

This is a different kind of card.  I used my Stampin Up envelope punch board to make this card.  The paper is 6x6 from Docrafts Spots & Stripes Pastels.  The small clouds are made using a Fiskars small cloud punch.  Dear Lizzy stamps were used for the bigger cloud and hot air balloon.

Now on to the goodies I sent out with the cards.

This is the paper I used on the hot air balloon card.  I also sent a pack to the ladies.  Oh and I had to send some candy.  I also put some chocolate in there but didn't get a pic of it.

As you can tell I sent the ladies the same stamp set I made the above card with.  Also some clouds and some Prima clips.
