Cupcake card

When your stuck inside a lot with this bad weather you find some spare time to craft.  So I made a cupcake card.

I made the cupcake with Straight from the Nest cricut cart page 60.  I cut it at 3¼".  The background embossing I used Sizzix Hero Arts Textured Impressions Dot Swirl.  I am really liking this embossing folder.  The cupcake is sitting on die cuts from Spellbinders Label Eighteen.  The sentiment stamp is Studio 18.  I believe it is just like Studio G.  It is a old stamp and I've had it for some time now.

I am entering this card in the following challenge.

Last batch of Feb swap cards

Millie hand delivered her February swap cards to me just this morning.  School is cancelled today due to all the snow and ice coming our way.  Not to mention all the snow we already have piled up.  I believe we will end up being in school half the month of June to make up for all the snow days.  It will be a short summer vacation.  So I had time this morning to take pictures of the swap cards and post them.  Millie had a owl of a time with this batch.

This is just the cutest birthday card.  I so love the owl paper.  I like how she has the owl sitting.  Really cool.

This card is beautiful with the gold glitter paper.  The sweet owl she added to this one just fits the sentiment.  Another great card!

These are the envies she made to go with the cards.  Kim and Millie do a great job making envies with their Stampin Up envelope punch board.  The one they bought me for my birthday I use more for other things along with envelopes which you will see in the March card swap.

Now on to the goodies.  Millie is great for creating themes for her swaps as you will see here with the goodies she gave me.

I mean where does she find all this cute stuff.  Pretty clips on a cute owl.  A hanging ornament that says Best Friends.  Owl with hearts socks.  Felt owls and hearts on clothes pins.  So CUTE!

This here just knocks my socks off!!  The pink owl is hand cream and the little blue one is lip balm.  I mean how stinkin sweet is that.  The other is a owl knick knack.  Which will be sitting on the very shelf I used to take a picture of.  I mean really where does she find all the matching things for our swap?  I never match like this.
Great job once again Millie.

I hear it is to get around 40+ degrees the rest of the week.  Hopefully some of the snow will melt off but not to fast we don't need floods next.

Love You Card

I decided to make a card and enter some challenges.  Since they cancelled school for 2 days I had a little extra time.  We got hit with a good amount of snow.  They are calling for more tonight.  Enough already.  I am ready for some sunshine!

For this card I used MME Honey pattern paper. I used the Cricut lite Lacy Labels for the die cut.  I embossed the center using the cuttlebug swiss dots folder.  Added some pearls, flowers, and glossy accents on the hearts.

Next batch of February swap cards.

Kim's cards for the February card swap.

First off she sent a very pretty card with a embossed background.  She also made the envie behind the card.  I love the die cut she used.  Very pretty card.

Next she made a shaped card.  Cool card Kim.  She put a little butterfly in the center and stamped on the edges of the center.  Neat card Kim!

This card she made using a really pretty die.  I like the embossed background and the glittered sentiment.  Kim also sent me a heart die and the stamp with the same sentiment as on this card.  She sent a challenge to Millie and me to make a card using the die cut and stamp.  Guess I better get busy on it.

Now on to all the goodies she sent me this month.

What a cute package of hearts!  You did a great job on this project Kim!

Next she sent me some eyelets for my Crop-A-Dile.  Kim knows my taste when she picked out these adorable vintage tags.  I just love them.

Here is the die she sent me along with the stamp.  Great die Thanks Kim!!  Also the cutest little pocket book with some change in it.  So sweet.  I also like the pair of Valentine socks she sent.  I have them on now.  Keeping my feet warm.  It is cold out there tonight.

Of course what is Valentine's day without some bling!  Love the bling Kim!!

Thanks Kim for everything.  I shall get busy on creating something using the heart die and the stamp.

Millie will be the next batch still to come this month.

February card swap

I am so glad to get the month of January over.  It was a cold month.  At least in February we have the Winter Olympics this year, and as always Valentine's day.  I also have 2 birthdays this month in the family to celebrate.  That can help the winter months go by a little easier.  Now onto the swap.  Here are the cards I sent out this month.

This little honey bee card is made using MME Honey paper.  I also used the MME Honey stamp (Just Be You).  The flower in the center came from Michael's dollar bins last spring.  I wish I would have bought more of them at the time.  I love the centers on these flowers.

I just love fairies so when I seen this stamp from Prima I had to have it.  The stamp is called Fairy Rhyme.  The blue paper I used is from Piggy tales Georgie Porgie Collection.  I got this paper from one of their warehouse sale boxes awhile back.  I am such a sucker for warehouse sale boxes.  The yellow paper is from Webster's pages clean & simple line.  I believe I got the butterfly charm from Wal-Mart.

For the flower stamp I used MME "The Sweetest thing, Bluebell Remember stamp set".  I used Stampin Up Ink Not Quite Navy.  The pattern paper was also from MME Bluebell Bright Blossom.  I have a good bit of MME paper and stamps.  My LSS was having a good sale so I scooped them up last year.  You will probably see more cards done in the future with MME papers and stamps.

This is a different kind of card.  I used my Stampin Up envelope punch board to make this card.  The paper is 6x6 from Docrafts Spots & Stripes Pastels.  The small clouds are made using a Fiskars small cloud punch.  Dear Lizzy stamps were used for the bigger cloud and hot air balloon.

Now on to the goodies I sent out with the cards.

This is the paper I used on the hot air balloon card.  I also sent a pack to the ladies.  Oh and I had to send some candy.  I also put some chocolate in there but didn't get a pic of it.

As you can tell I sent the ladies the same stamp set I made the above card with.  Also some clouds and some Prima clips.
