Birthday card for Kim

Here is a birthday card I made for my card swap buddy.
Happy Birthday Kim!

I used a Stampendous birthday fairy cling stamp.  Then I emboss the whole image with a holographic embossing powder.  It is hard to see from this picture.  A neat technique I learned when I took the online class Christmas Cards and Tips to Use all Year Long by Dena Concienne.  That was really a great class.  Glad I took it.  I used 6x6 paper from Authentique Essentials Collection.  I only have two 6x6 paper pads of Authentique.  This one and Christmas one I got as a gift from Millie for Christmas.  I really like their paper and will have to pick up some more.  The flowers came from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The lace and charms I picked up on my scrappy travels and don't really remember where I got them.

Hope you have a great birthday Kim!

Merry Christmas!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Here is a couple Christmas cards I made.

I made this card using my Silhouette Portrait.  I bought the design in the Silhouette store.  It is a Snap Dragon Snippets design.

I also made this one with my Silhouette Portrait.  I bought this design at SVG Attic.com.  It is called Winter Wishes.  They had a couple other cards you could make with the svg package.

I made this vintage card for my sister.  I thought she would like the little girl on this graphic.  She reminded me of her granddaughter.

Merry Christmas!
&
Happy New Year!

and as always

Last of the swap cards for Dec.

Here are Millie's swap cards.

Such a cute card.  I like how she did the background like the piece of swiss cheese on the stamp.

Love the color of this card.  The sentiment is very inspiring.

These little purple flowers are so pretty.  Such a beautiful card.

Thanks Millie for the cards.

December swap cards

Before I get to the December swap cards I sent the ladies I would like to show the b-day card Millie made me.

Such a cute card!  Thanks Millie!

This card I made from my Cricut.  The cut is from the Christmas cards cart.

This card was Millie's idea.  She was at my house and we were looking at paper and she came up with this idea for the paper.  I am ready for any ideas so I took it and ran.

I also added a Christmas card for each of them but didn't get a photo of them before I sent them.  Just a busy time of the year....:-)

December card swap

Christmas month is here!  It is my b-day this month.  Kim sent me a b-day card and a Christmas card.  I will show that first and then the cards Kim sent me for this month's swap.

This is the Christmas card Kim sent me.  Another cool folded card.  Very pretty and cheery.

Here is the b-day card Kim sent me.  Very pretty & delicate!

Thanks Kim!

Now onto the December swap cards from Kim.

I just love the tree stamped on this card.  I also like the font on the sentiment a lot.  I like color too.  Beautiful card!

This card is so cute.  I love the leaf with the dragonfly on it.  So stinkin cute!!

You can't see in this picture but she also embossed the black cardstock on the card.  Nice card Kim.

Pretty card Kim.  I love how you outlined the clouds with silver.  The coloring on this is really good.  I like the different colored background.

Thanks for all the beautiful cards Kim!

Kim's swap cards

Here are Kim's November swap cards.  Kim also sent me a nice stack of white card stock.  A bunch of A2 envelopes.  Plus some pistachio green card stock from Stamping Up.  (I have no excuse not to keep those cards coming)

Kim made some really cool cards with different folds to them.  My pictures could not do them justice.  Unfortunately I am not great with the camera.  Here is the front of the card.  I love the use of 2 different types of pattern paper.

Ok here is the inside of the card.  Is this not cool?

This is the front of the card.  Such a pretty card.

Here is the inside of the card.  Both sides flip open.  Pretty neat card.

Thanks Kim for the cool cards that inspire and awe me every month.  Thank you also for the wonderful card stock that will keep me in cards for quite some time.

Millie's swap cards.

Here are Millie's cards for the November card swap.
She also included some wood stickers with my initial J & little clothespins with a red gingham heart, star, stocking, tree, snowflake, & mitten attached to them.

This card has a lot going on.  She stamped the side of the card.  Embossed the paper and stamped on the little hexagons.  Such a sweet hello card.  You can never have to many hello cards in your stash.

Ok I love Millie's cards but I have to say this is my favorite out of the ones she sent me this month.  I just love that reindeer.  Not to mention she put bling on the card.  Very pretty card Millie.

This card is so pretty with all the layers.  I have yet to do this type of card.  Now that Millie just moved right up the street from me I will be having a card making session with her and this will be a card I will want to try.  Before she moved here she lived a hour and half away from me.  Who knows what kind of crafty trouble we will get into.

Thanks for the cards and goodies Millie!

November card swap

I usually do this at the beginning of the month.  I am a bit behind this month.  Next month we are not exchanging cards till Christmas so I won't post next months till after Christmas some time.

Here are the cards I made for the November swap.
These are all A2 cards.

I used sizzix dies for both of these cards.  I added some bells to both cards.  Not practical for mailing.  More for handing out to co-workers and friends.  These dies make it easy to make a card though.  Just make them the focal point and add on.

With this card I used a wooden doily.  I added a little jeweled gingerbread man to the bow.  The stamp I used was one Millie gave me.  Well lets just say she bought up 2 boxes of stamps she no longer wanted and let me have my pick.  This is one that I picked.  It is so cute.  Millie & Kim love their rubber stamps.  I like my die cut machines.  It is what makes the swaps so fun.  We each have our own styles.  We enjoy getting cards that we normally wouldn't make.  Since we started this swap I now have a wide range of cards in my stash.

I will be putting Millie's and Kim's up here soon.

My batch of Oct. swap cards.

Here is the last of the Oct. swap cards.  These are the ones I sent out.
I did warn you in the last post there will be mostly Halloween cards.

I sent one to Millie and the other one to KimI was shopping at JoAnn's one day and seen these dome like Jolee's Boutique stickers and had to have them.  I just loved them.  Then I added a potion to the card that I picked up in the Silhouette store.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card.

Here is another set where I sent one to Millie and one to Kim.  The stickers in the middle are also Jolee's Boutique.  They put out some good Halloween stickers this year.

Just like the last set I sent one to each.

This is the last of the Halloween cards I sent to the ladies.

This card is a just for fun card.  I was trying a different kind of fold card.

Here is the inside of the card.

Now on to the scrappy goodies I sent the ladies.

A stamp to help get them ready for Christmas cards.

A few handmade flowers.  Just for fun.

I thought these stickers were cute for paper crafters.

Next batch of Oct. cards

Here are Millie's cards for the October card swap.

Super cute Halloween card Millie.  You can't tell from the picture but the swirls sparkle.

This sweet card is so pretty.  She put some gold threads like for the background.  The embossing is a nice touch.  She also added a fall emery board.  A nice little surprise.

What a cute apple card.  Love the little already eaten apples.  She told me she used a tab punch to make them.  How clever.

Now on to the scrappy goodies.

I just love these stamps she sent me.  She knows I really like making Halloween cards.  I mean I like making Christmas cards too.  For some reason I have a good time making those spooky cards.  You will see when I put my cards up.  They are mostly all Halloween.  I had to throw one normal one in there with their swap batch.  Other then that they are all Halloween.

Keeping with the fall theme, Millie sent me a green apple drinking cup.  I love these cups.  I take the cherry cup she sent me to work everyday.  Now I will have a new one to take.  She also filled the cup with yummy goodness.  Candy!!  Love the green apple Mentos and Jolly Rancher powder drinks.  I also got some Halloween stickers and a black cat emery board.  Since I have a black cat that goes good with me.

October card swap

Well time for the October card swap.  Wow did this month fly by!  I will start out with Kim's cards today.  Kim did 6 cards for this month's swap.

This is such a wonderful fall card!  I love the leaves and acorns.  I also like the fall color orange.

Here is another beautiful fall card from Kim.  I love how she stamped the pumpkin and divided it up and laid it down.  Such a neat concept.

Now this card is really cool!  When she stamped the tree scene she used a brayer and did a reflection so it looks like you are looking at a card where the trees are reflected into the water.  How cool is that?

This is a really pretty clear card.

What a cute and cheerful card!  Great colors.  It really pops!

Last card.....Wow there are a lot.  This card has a neat fold to it.  Love the flowers and butterfly.  Very pretty.

Of course we always send each other some scrappy supplies.  We must feed our addiction to card making.  :-)

Kim sent me some yummy ice cream cone stickers.  I love flowers of course she knows this.  Some cute Halloween stickers and some alpha's.
Thanks Kim for everything!
