Sept card swap!

Here we are in September all ready.  Where did the summer months go?  Time for the September card swap.  Do I ever have some great cards this month!  Millie and Kim did some really wonderful cards for this month.

Starting off with Kim's cards.

Love this birthday card.  It has a charm and glitter.  Great birthday card.  The cupcakes look so yummy!

This is a cool card.  The blue flowers have a orange center and the orange flowers have a blue center.  I know Kim did some stamping tricks with this one.  Very creative.

This neat little card has a pull out tag.  So awesome!  I love the butterfly embellishment.  Very pretty card!

Beautiful card!  Love the flair!  Lots of color and the embellishments pop!

Here are the goodies Kim sent me.  I just love bling!!
Thank you so much Kim for the wonderful cards & goodies!

Now onto Millie's cards.

Very cool Halloween card!  She even made a envie to match.  Also some really spooky brads.  She also did some embossing along the side of the card.  I haven't figured out how she did that one yet.

Gorgeous card!  I love the colors and the flowers.

This is my favorite card!  I love how she placed 3 different types of ink across the card and the beautiful tree stamp.  This cards just says wow!

Here are the goodies Millie sent me with the swap.  I love the bird stickers.  The Halloween Authentique  paper pad is awesome.  Millie knows my taste.

Thanks so much Millie for the beautiful cards & goodies!

Now onto my cards.
While I was cleaning my craft room this summer I found a hot off the press card kit.  I got it from HSN back in Feb. 2012.  I decided to finally put it to use.  I only managed to get 2 cards each done for the ladies.  Millie surprised me in August when my son and her walked in the door.  My son is in the United States Air Force and is stationed in Alaska.  It had been over 8 months since I seen him.  Millie picked him up at the air port and brought him home to me.  I had him for 22 days.  Needless to say I sure didn't get much done in the crafting dept.  At least I did get a chance to use some of that kit I found....LOL.

I sent these 2 cards to Millie.

This stamp I sent to Millie.

I sent these 2 cards to Kim.

I sent this stamp to Kim.

Here are the goodies I sent both of them.

Well I know this post was picture heavy.  I hoped you enjoyed checking out this months swap.  Now summer is over and time to start on the fall cards.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  Not to hot and not to cold.  Have a great fall season, and as always Happy Crafting!

1st day of school

Well today is the first day of school.  I work at a elementary school as a cafeteria aide.  I decided to make some things to put up in the cafeteria.  I used the Cricut craft room.  Right now they have the Autumn Celebrations cart you can use for free.  Here is what I made.

I made these about these between 8" and 10".  I have lots of 8½" x 11" sheets of plain colored paper.  I will be working on some fall/Halloween things next.

Birthday card for my sister

My sister Mechele's birthday is tomorrow.  Being a card maker I had to make her a card.  My sister and I are big fairy lovers.  So I went a bit wild on the fairy one.   I know my sister though and I know she will love it.

I was at Wal-Mart in the craft section and just happened to notice this fairy.  It was a Jolee's boutique sticker.  It has poseable arms and legs.  I thought she was neat and just had to buy her.  I added some moss and lots of other goodies.  It was fun to make.

I was making cards for the September's swap and my sister said she liked the colors.  Browns and blues.  She also said she liked birds.  So I pulled out my Cricut mat and made a bird using the Four Legged Friends cart.  The branch came from the Serenade cart.  Just a simple little card for her.

Big Jars labeled with vinyl

I made wax tarts and put them in my big jars to grab whenever I want to put a tart in my warmer.  I decided to label the jars using my cricut and some vinyl.  I used the cricut craft room and the Country Life cart.  I cut the text at 1.4.  I only had so many choices on fonts.  This was the best one out of the fonts I had that I thought looked the best on there.

Enjoy your summer & Happy Crafting!

August card swap

Wow where did the month of July go?  It just seemed to fly right by.  Well onto the August card swap.  This month I sent out a little something different then a card.  I tried my hand at making them each a layout.

Here is what I sent to Millie.

Millie has a little kitty named peanut so I thought I would make her a cat layout.  I used pattern papers I got from a Piggy tales warehouse box sale.  I am a sucker for those warehouse box sales.  You can get some neat stuff in them for a great price.  The photo mat in the middle is for a 4"x6" picture.  The Cricut lite cart used was Four Legged Friends.
The word meow and the yarn ball were cut at 1.5"
The 2 cats were cut at 3"
The little paw prints in the circles were cut at 1"
The heart with the paw print inside was cut at 2.5"

This card was made using a Penny Black stamp that Kim gave me.  It is called winter fairy.  I just love this stamp.  I made a 5"x7" card with it.  It is a pretty big stamp.  I colored her using Spectrum Noir markers.  I added some stickles to the wings and snowball but it is hard to see in this picture.

Millie loves snowmen.  I picked this little guy up for her.  She really liked it.  She loves all and any kind of snowmen.

I sent Millie and Kim each one of these BoBunny stamps to get them ready and geared up for this coming fall.  Which is coming up fast.  Too fast!

Ok next on to what I sent Kim.

I did a little boy layout for Kim.  She has 2 nephews she adores.  The picture mat is 4"x6".  I used 2 Cricut carts to make this one.  Nate's ABCs & Create a Critter.
Nate's ABCs is the little boy holding the jar with the bug in it cut at 3.5"
Create a Critter cart cuts:
Sun 3"
Monkey 2.5"
Turtle 1.5"
Bee 2.5"
Clouds 2" & 2.5"
Grass patches 1.5"
The word Cute 2.5"
The vine going down the picture mat is 2 vines welded together.  I used the Cricut cut room to make it.  I forgot to write down what I cut it at though.  Sorry about that.

I made Kim a card similar to Millie's.  I just used softer colors on Kim's.  No particular reason just wanted to color them different.  It was a fun stamp to color.

For Kim I got her a Sizzix bigz die also.  I got her the stocking.  These dies are awesome because each one comes with a embossing folder.  I also got myself the snowman & stocking.  I can't wait to try them out.  They should make Christmas cards a snap.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and as always Happy Crafting!

More July swap cards

Here are the cards that Millie sent to me for the July card swap.

Now this is a girly card!  What woman doesn't love shoes?  I might not wear the high heeled kind anymore but I still love them.

This is a nice hello card.  You can never have enough of the general cards.  I love the way she used 3 different patterned papers.  The banners under the hello button are cool too.

The picture does not do this card justice.  It has a pretty sparkled silver and gray paper in the background.  A nice silver bow.  The Congratulations is embossed.  Very elegant card.

Thanks for all the great cards Millie.

It won't be long till August swap cards will be coming.  Millie already has hers done.  I need to get busy.

Stay cool and as always Happy Crafting!

More July Swap cards

Millie sent me pictures of the cards she gave to Kim for the July swap.

Nothing says summer like the beach!  Great beach card!

What a cute hello card!  I love the colors in this one.  Very bright and cheery!

Another bright and cheery card.  Neat flower design in the middle.  I like the colorful brads on the corners.

I will be posting the cards Millie sent me when I get them.
Enjoy your day & Happy Crafting!

Christmas in July card

I made a Christmas card for the CARDZ TV "Christmas in July challenge".  It was different to make a Christmas card while you have the fan on because your hot....LOL!  Living here in Pennsylvania we feel the cold at Christmas time.

I used the Jolly Holiday lite cricut cart.  I cut this little elf at 3.5".  Added some packages in his little wagon & decorated him up with some bling.

Happy Crafting!

Kim's cards for the July swap

Well time to show you all what Kim sent me for the July card swap!
Kim did Christmas in July.

I love this card with the little girl catching snowflakes and how Kim put pearls on the card.  Very pretty card!

This card is cool.  Kim embossed it and added some gems for ornaments.  Very classy!

Last card Kim used some paper like peppermint stripes and made this cute card.
Great cards Kim!

Now on to all the goodies Kim sent me.  Once again she has spoiled me rotten.

Kim sent me a cuttlebug embossing folder similar to the one she used on her card.  Millie, Kim, & I all have cuttlebugs so we like our embossing folders.

Next some very Noel brads.  I love the little snowflakes.

These accents come in handy for making Christmas cards where you just need a extra touch.

Now this stamp she sent me I just absolutely love.  It is not a little stamp either.  She is so sweet.  I just love fantasy stamps.  I adore this one.

A very nice sentiment to put in the Christmas cards.
Thanks to Kim I am all ready to start making some Christmas cards right now.
Thank You Kim for everything I loved it all.

Happy Crafting!
