April card swap

Wow do I have a load of cards this month to show you.
First we will start out with Millie's

I love how this card comes together.  The little dragonfly is so cute also.

This card is absolutely gorgeous.  I wish I could have gotten a clearer picture of it.  It is pieced together so nicely.

Another beautiful card.  I love how the flowers are put together on the front.  It is awesome.

These goodies came in my package.  I just love the stamps and stickers.  I love the rub on fairies.  Millie knows I love my fantasy creatures.
Thanks so much Millie.  Everything is just wonderful.

Ok now on to Kim's cards.

This card is beautiful.  I just love the pretty ribbon used to hold it closed.  This card can be used for so many occasions.

This card is so cute and fun.  The little hand on the clock moves and the pink sparkles are so pretty.  My camera did not do them justice.

Wow check out the different pattern paper used for this card.  I love all the different patterns but yet it all comes together nicely.  Great job Kim.

Now this card is awesome.  It folds out so nice.  It is just a all around cool card.  The little clothes pins on the card did not come with it.  I needed something to put on it in order to be able to sit it up to take a picture of it.  Such a neat folded card.

Kim put these goodies in my package.  Those boarders are so pretty.  I love the flower pack with the butterflies.  I can use them.  I never tried using a clear glitter pen.  They look cool and I can't wait to try them out.  Thanks so much Kim!

Now on to my card.  Yes I only sent one card this month.  I had a rough month so I didn't get much done.  I hope to make up for it next month.  Of course I did slip some goodies in each of their packages.

Well I hope you all enjoyed looking at all the lovely cards and they help inspire you.  I know sometimes my mojo is lost and then when I start looking at cards other people make it inspires me.

Lucky Day

Since St. Patrick's Day is coming up I decided to do a card.  I used the Stamping cart to make the clover and saying.  Swiss dots embossing folder on the background.  Added some green bling at the bottom of the card.  I went a bit crazy with my white gel pen but I enjoyed myself......LOL.
Hope you all have a Lucky St. Patrick's Day!

Snow day!

Well here in central Pa. it is a snow day.  No school for the kids means no work for me.  I took the time today to take pictures of the cards sent to me by Kim & Millie for the March card swap.

This cool card is from Kim.  She embossed heavy duty aluminum foil.  How cool did that turn out!
This next card is a pretty butterfly card with a butterfly charm.  So pretty Kim!

I got this embossing folder with my cards.  It is called Scrolls Background.  Thanks Kim for the cards and gift.

Millie made me a very pretty floral Happy Birthday card.   I love the floral paper used with this card.  Glitter and flowers!  Works for me...:-).

This card is so cute!!  I love the tiny little buttons Millie used on the card.  Great coloring job too.  A pretty spring card!

Millie also sent me a few goodies.  I love the stickers.  Sunflowers are one of my favorites.  Oh and she also sent me a cute little sock change purse.  I forgot to get a picture of it.  Thanks Millie for the gifts.

I got some beautiful cards this month from the swap.  I can't wait to see what will be in my mail box for the next swap.

Cards from Millie

Well back in the days when Millie was heavy into stamping and card making (the 90's) she would send me cards from time to time.  I just loved them so much I kept them.  She would put a lot of work into these cards and I just put them in a container.  Here are 2 of them.  I will randomly post some of them when I get the time.  I hope they give you ideas and inspiration.  I know I love looking at galleries of cards to help spark my card making mojo...LOL.  Enjoy!

February Card Swap

Wow Millie and Kim went all out this month.  They even added some extra goodies in with their cards.  Thank You ladies!  I love my cards and goodies.

First off goodies from Kim.  She sent me things I can use to make Valentine's day cards.  Thanks again Kim!  Now on to the beautiful cards.

These cards are wonderful!  Kim told Millie and I about finding some embossing folders from Darice on one of her shopping trips.  When I went shopping yesterday I found them at AC Moore for $3.99 each and if you use a coupon even cheaper.  I love the butterfly one but they didn't have it there when I looked.  I ended up buying one with the gears.  I have a steam punk digi fairy I may use that folder with.  I also love the embellishments on the cards.  I love the stamping on the Get Well Soon card.  I don't have a get well card in my stash, now I will.  Great cards Kim....I love them all!  Thank You!!

Now onto Millie cards.

Millie also got the butterfly embossing folder.  I am jealous ladies I want that one too.  It is so pretty.  The textured paper Millie used under the mom card is awesome.  Very cool card Millie.  I also like how she made a envelope for it using a old calendar page with flowers on it.  Way to recycle those beautiful calendars.  Love the bling on the butterfly card.  Plus the glittered butterflies.  I love glitter and would use it all the time.....Ha Ha!  Just something about the shiny stuff that makes me smile.  Thank You Millie for the wonderful cards.

Here is the cute goody Millie added in with the cards.  It is so cute.  I can always use some post it notes for just about everything.  Thanks again Millie.

Well that is the cards for this months swap.  I sent them each a A2 card and a little gift card.  I only managed to get a picture of the one card.  I will put it on my blog here soon.  My computer crashed on me so I have had to go buy a new computer and load stuff up.  Wow what a mess and I also lost a lot of stuff too which stinks.  I know I should have backed it up but I didn't see it coming at all.  One day working fine the next it died.  I probably could have taken it to the shop to get fixed but it was 5 years old and DH had a discount on hp computers so I treated myself.  Sometimes by the time you pay to get it fixed you might as well pay a little extra for a new one.

I know next month I really need to step it up with the ladies.  Time to sneak into the craft room and get busy.

Happy Crafting All!

January swap cards.

I got cards from Kim and Millie for the January swap.

Kim made this one.  Isn't it stinkin cute?  I love the cupcake & ice cream cone brad.  This card is so different from the normal card.  I love it.  Thanks Kim!

Millie made these 2 cards.  She used the fuzzy stuff on the animal.  So soft.  I also love the assorted gems she used in the corners.  Her snowman is so cute & I love the clear snowflake she used down in the lower corner.  Very cute.  Thanks Millie!

Thanks ladies I can't wait to see what will come in my mail box next month.  I need to get busy and get something done for next month.

January card swap!

Here are the 2 cards I sent out to the girls.  I only need 1 blank card a month but I was feeling creative so I sent 2.  That won't happen every month, but it worked out for this month.  I was still in the snowy mood when I made these.

I used a stamp image from long ago so I can't tell you where that image of the snow family came from.  I did use Jolly Holidays cricut cart for the mittens.  Snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder for the background of both cards.  Spellbinders, Fancy tags, and a Studio g stamp for the sentiment on the mittens card.  I hope the ladies like their cards.  Now to think of something to send for next month.

Happy Crafting!

Snail Mail

Computer can be handy for a quick message, but it is still nice to go to your mailbox and receive a letter/card.  I like to think we card makers keep a small part of the post office in business.  Here is a snail mail card I made.  The stamp I used came from Stampers Best  They have some cool vintage type stamps, and their prices are really good.  Have a great day, and as always Happy Crafting!

Snowman card

With all the snow we got around the holidays it put me in a snowman mood.  Here is a card I made using a image that was stamped for me many years ago.  Probably way back in the 90's.  I decided it sat around collecting dust long enough.  Time to do something with it.

I used one of the Martha Stewart snowflake punches for the blue snowflakes.  I recently bought 5 sets of MME stamps from My Craft Channel.  First time I ordered from them.  It was a pretty good deal.  I was pleased.  One the stamps sets from The sweetest thing was the bright silly happy words so I used them with some silver embossing powder.  The background paper came from MME Miss Caroline 6x6 paper pad.  The stamps and paper pad were both by Jen Allyson.  I used Copic's for coloring him.  I have to say I am no expert at using those markers.  I don't have a lot of them so if I need a color and don't have it in Copic's then I improvise with the Spectrum noir ones I do have.  For me coloring is relaxing, & fun.  I think I may send this card out to my son who is in Air Force tech school right now.  I think it passes as a guy card.  Boy was it hard when he was in basic training and I couldn't send anything but plain white paper letters and no glitter........It was a crafters nightmare........LOL.

Happy New Year!

Time to start fresh for the New Year.  I hope everyone had a great holiday season.  I know I did.  Millie, and Kim started talking about starting the card swap again this year.  We decided this time to only do 1 card, blank inside for each person.  Any theme we want to do.  Whatever our creative souls feel like making.  This way it will be easier to fulfill when we hit a few life bumps in the road during the year.  I will do my best to post more on my blog.  I put down my kindle and went back to my craft space.  I still like to read but just not at the crazy pace I was.  Happy New Year & as always Happy Crafting!

Have a Happy Holiday season & Happy Crafting!

Found some inspiration at the Mall

I took my daughter school shopping Friday at the mall.  I decided to make a stop at Bath &Body Works.  I found a really great body lotion called Sweet on Paris.  Smells yummy.  I decided to make a card with some Paris influence.  I used paper from MME, Lost & Found 8X8 Blush cardstock pad.  It was fun to make and it never hurts to build up my card stash.

End of Summer Vacation

Wow I can't believe summer is almost over.  It really flew by for me.  I didn't even post all summer long.  I got a Kindle in June.  I got caught up in reading my summer vacation away.  I didn't make any cards till today.  My sister's birthday is coming up on Wed. so I had to get in my craft room and make her a card.  I don't have central air.....just the shove a air conditioner in the window set up.  My craft room doesn't benefit from the air conditioner and using a fan with paper laying around in the room just won't work.  Now that cooler weather is on the way it is not so bad in my craft space anymore.  Hopefully I will get back on track now.  Hope you all had a great summer.  Here is the quick and simple card I made for my sister.

May card swap!

Well for the month of May was the male themed based cards.  I was really late getting mine out to Kim......so I didn't get any pictures.  Millie got the cards Kim sent her and scanned them for me.  Here are Kim's male themed cards for the month of May.

Awesome job Kim!  I love them all.

The next couple of months for the card swap it is anything goes.  I won't have a problem with those ones.

Busy Busy!

Wow seems like I have been so busy these past couple of weeks I have not done much crafting.  I have to get myself back in my craft corner and get busy.

Here is a couple cards I made awhile back and forgot to post them.

I used Tim Holtz bird cage die on these.

I will be back soon with more cards.
