July card swap

Wow the month of June just flew by.  I can't believe it is July already.  Here are the cards I sent to Millie & Kim this month for the July card swap.

For this card I used the Tim Holtz's Tattered flowers sizzix die for the flowers.  The tag on the front comes from the pack of tags that Millie sent me last month.  The lace used at the bottom came from a pack of trim from Webster's.  I also did some sewing around the edges.  Yeah I can't believe I pulled my machine out.  I used a cream thread but now I am thinking I should have used white cause you can hardly see it.  I also embossed the card base.  I can't remember the folder I used.  I have so many embossing folders I need to start using them.

This was a fun card to make.  The pink frame was just a piece of plain chipboard.  I painted it pink and glued some glitter on it.  Put a flower and some embellishment's on.  The key is a brad that Kim gave me.  I really liked them.  Not as heavy as the metal keys you can get.

This card was a bright and cheery card.  The reason I did a mushroom is when I took the dog out I noticed a bunch of mushrooms in the grass.  It just put me in the mood to do a mushroom card.  I made the mushroom from the Cricut Cindy Loo cart.  It is such a cute cart.  Once again I embossed the background.  Trying to use those embossing folders more.

Next on to the goodies I put in the ladies swap bags.

I seen these really cute layer stickers from MME at my LSS.  Then I found a paper pad that goes with it.  So I got each of the ladies a pack of the stickers and then I split the paper pad between them so they would have some matching paper to go with the stickers.

As I was looking at the stickers with the kite on it.  I decided some cool felt clouds would be nice to go with the goodies too.

I went to a place called surplus city.  They have all kinds of lace n such.  So I picked up a yard of this and that lace and gave Kim & Millie a foot each.  We all got a foot each.  I have plenty of lace but I thought this lace was neat cause it had a line of small pearls on it.  I got the lace with pink and white pearls.  I also picked up a lacey applique.  We can find so many things that you would have never thought to use on a card only to find out hey that can work.

I decorated these little tea lights.  I seen it somewhere but can't remember and decided to give it a whirl.  Here is what I came up with.  I hope the ladies like them.

That's my July swap for Millie & Kim.  When they send me theirs I will be sure to post.

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!
Be safe, & enjoy!

June card swap continued

I got Kim's card swap package yesterday.  All I can say is these ladies are knocking my socks off.  Beautiful cards and so many great goodies.  It feels like Christmas every month.

Here is the card Kim did with the cheery cherry stamp challenge from Millie.  Such a cute card.

Very sweet strawberry card.  I love how she used the flower I sent in last months swap.  Sweet card Kim.

This is a cute card and I love the stamp.  I also like how you did the background paper.  Very cool!

This card is soooo pretty!!  I love the flowers and bird embellishments.  I like how you wrapped the string around the saying.  The background paper is so cool also.  Very pretty Kim!

Now this card is just adorable!!  I love this stamp.  I used to swing a lot when I was a little girl.  Of course back then we didn't have computers and things.  Just swings, jump ropes, and a set of jacks.....LOL.  What is even better Kim sent me this stamp.  Thank you so much Kim!  I love it!!

Here are some more goodies that Kim sent me.  I like the Spectrum Noir color chart.  Now I can throw away those cardboard backs from the markers I was keeping.  It is still taking me some practice to get used to using them.  Thanks for the bling......LOL.  The ladies know I love bling.  Also the monogram stamp is cool and I can always use some running glue.

Now this is something new for me.  I haven't tried the stitching yet.  I will be exploring this one.

Now this little goody is burning right now.  Mmmmm and it smells so good.  Thanks so much Kim for all the wonderful cards and goodies.

More June cards

Millie really impressed me this month with some really great cards & goodies!  Ok as you all know Millie is the one that sent Kim and I the cherry stamp.  Well here is what she did in the way of Cheery Cherries.

This is great!  She made a card with a recipe on the front.  So cute!  The recipe is for a Cheery Cherry Crisp.  Way to go Millie.  I love it!!

Next up she sent a cup with cherries on it.  Plus she put a pack of Black Cherry kolaid inside.  This is so sweet!

Now on to the other cards she sent for this month.

Well first off I have to say Millie knows I love sunflowers.  So you know this card is one of those cards I will probably never use and keep for myself....LOL.  I love the yellow fibers you have wrapped around the background paper.  That is so cool Millie and I will probably lift that idea from you sometime.  I have lots of fibers but never really used them for a card like this before.  Thanks for the idea.  This card rocks!

What a beautiful card!  I love the background.  Very creative.  The flowers are so pretty & the little bumble bees are so cute.

Now we come to the goodies part.

I love these tags.  Very pretty.  Then the dry eraser domestic goddess board.  Well hey what woman wouldn't like that one.....LOL.

Next some cool tag stickers.  I love the swirly stickers.  They are really versatile.  I love the star ribbon.

Thanks for everything Millie.  I appreciate it all!  Kim and you are spoiling me with all the wonderful goodies in the card swap packages.  To think this was supposed to be a one card swap and it has really turned into something wonderful.  Lets keep up the great work ladies cause I love having some cards on hand for those times when you need something special.

June card swap

Time for the June card swap.  Here is what I sent out to the ladies this month.

This is what I did with the cherry stamp Millie sent us last month.  I managed to get a cheery cherry card done.

This little guy was done on a 3x3 card.  I thought I got a decent picture of it but I guess I didn't.  I already sent the cards out.  Just a little thank you card.  You can never have enough of those in your stash.

This is my 4th of July card.  I cut the frame at 4" from the Accent Essentials Cricut cart.  The little boy pulling the wagon came from A Child's Year cart.  I embossed the background with the stars embossing folder.  I have a son serving in the Air Force so the little boy reminded me of my son.

Here is one of the goodies I sent the ladies.  I didn't get pictures of everything I sent.  I had to get to a apt. this morning so I didn't have time to fool around.  Had to get the pictures taken and get them in the mail.

My cards for the May card swap.

I am finally getting around to posting the cards I sent out to Millie & Kim.  Been a busy month!

This card I sent to Millie using the rub on fairies she sent me last month.

I sent this card to Millie and Kim.  Just a simple card using some pretty doily stamps from MME.  I just wanted to find a way to use them.  I have many more stamps I need to use. I think stamps are just as addicting as pretty paper.

This one was made using a small white paper bag.  At the top there is a tag you can pull out and use to put a sentiment on.  There is a pocket on the front where you can put a gift card or whatever treat you want.  I just put a small stamp set in that pocket when I mailed it to the ladies.  I got this idea from All that Scraps Blog  This one I sent to Millie.

This card I sent to Kim.  She sent me some K&Co stickers last month and I used them to make this card.  She also sent me the paper and the brown ribbon I used to make the card.  So basically Kim sent me almost all the goodies to make this card.  I hope she liked it.  The heart I made in the Cricut craft room basic shapes.

I sent this one to Kim.  I changed them up a bit by sending each one made with a different color.  I forgot to mention the stamp is Latte Kiki la rue, a C.C. Design.  I got her at All that Scraps  They have some really cute stamps.

Here are some of the goodies I sent the ladies in the May swap.  The cupcake stamp set is the one I put in the pocket of the cards I made them.

These stamps I sent the ladies I found at my local scrapbook store.  Have to support the local shops.  I thought they were cute and whimsical for spring.
I hope they enjoyed their goodies and cards.  I was trying to make up for my lack of cards I sent in last months swap.

More May cards

Today I got Millie's May cards for our swap.  Here is what she sent.

This card is so cool.  I love the tickets attached to the card.

I love this beach themed card.  It all flows together so nicely.
Great cards Millie!

Now on to the goodies she sent me!

These candy dots are so cute.  I know it is hard to see in the picture but they are little buttons.  The best friend rubber stamp is a nice touch.
She also sent me a bunch of paper.  Woot Woot!  Who doesn't love more paper.

I love this beautiful plaque Millie sent me.  Thank you Millie.

Ok next on to the cheery cherry challenge.  Millie sent me a cherry rubber stamp and a couple of cherry pieces of pattern paper.  Now my task is to make a card using these items.  I will try my best.

Thanks Millie for the beautiful cards and wonderful goodies this month.
I put my swap cards and goodies in the mail today.  So keep a eye on the mail box they should come Saturday or Monday.

Fairies & Butterflies

Since spring is here I got inspired to do a few cards with a spring like theme.

I got this sweet C.C. Design stamp from All That Scraps  They have some of the cutest stamps.  I also got the sentiment from there.  I colored her using the Spectrum Noir markers.

This is a old stamp I had for a long time.  I just love fairies.

I hope you all are enjoying your spring.  Before you know the heat waves will come.  Here in Pennsylvania it can get sticky hot.
