Card for Challenge.

I made a card for the Challenge Me Monday #100 over at Fantabulous Cricut.  We are to use 3 colors on our project.  Purple, green, & turquoise.  I used the Cricut lite bloom cart for the cage and big butterfly.  For the little butterflies I used a cuttlebug spring floral die.

First completed mini album

I completed my first mini album.  I had started one before but never finished it.  Well this one I did.  I made it for my sister.  She became a grandma last year.  I used most of the papers from K&Co.  The little frog and ladybug I did on the cricut but I hate to say I can't remember what cart I used.  It took me a while to finish this album so I forgot some things.  I am going to mail it out to her tomorrow.  I hope she likes it.  Thanks for looking.

Card made with House Mouse stamp

Made a card the other day for Millie.  I used a House Mouse stamp she got for me.  I love the House Mouse stamps.  They are sooooooo cute.  I used Bic markers & Copics both to color the stamp.  I don't have a lot of Copics yet so I have to improvise.  I hope it brighten her day.

Cards from Millie

I forgot to post the card Millie sent me for Valentine's Day.  It is so pretty.  I love the different shades of purple.  This card rocks Millie.  Thank You!

Next card came from our Mission/Challenge from the Paper Crafts Color Inspiration magazine.  Millie did this one from the example on page 27.  She loves baker twine so this card was perfect for her to do.  You did a great job Millie.  I love it!

Thanks for looking and as always Happy Crafting!!

B-day card for my son

Boy does time fly!!  I can't believe my son is turning 19 already.  Just seems like he was still a senior in high school and turning 18.  BLAT!! Here it is a year went by already.  His birthday is not till Friday but I made his card today.  Kinda plain cause you know how boys are.  No lace or flowers for him.  Ha Ha.

I used the Hot of the Press kit I got from HSN, some gold half pearls, & Brushed Corduroy distress ink for inking the edges.

My Mission

In my last post I showed a picture of the magazine Kim sent Millie & I.  Our challenge/mission was to create a card using the magazine for inspiration.  Well I decided to be a bit goofy and send Kim a card from the front cover of the magazine.  Only I wanted to make it as close to that card I could.  I then decided I would make Millie a card from the magazine also as close as I could.  It was just for fun.  Along with the card I put a few flower goodies in their envelope.  The first card is from the cover but also in the magazine on page 20.  The second card I sent to Millie is on page 114.  It was so funny I was looking through the magazine trying to find a card to send to Millie and low and behold was a embellishment on that card that I just happened to have.  I had to go with it.

I just love this magazine because sometimes the hardest thing to do is to try and get the right colors together.  This magazine will be my go to when I need some help with my color palette........which is a good bit.

Hope you enjoyed our Mission.  I had a lot of fun doing it.

Cards on a Mission

Kim one of mine card swap buddies sent me the Paper Crafts Color Inspiration for card makers magazine.  She also sent one to Millie.  We loved it.  Along with the magazine was a challenge.  To make a card using the magazine for inspiration and send them to our swap buddies.  A couple days ago I got a package.  In the package was a card holder Kim made using the color palette from page 124.  (Just in case you have the magazine you can see how well she did.)  She did a great job.  Inside the card holder she made me the Marble's card.  Super cute.  I sent out the card I made for both of them yesterday.  I will wait to make sure they got them before posting the cards I sent.

Happy Crafting!

This is the magazine Kim sent us.

Here is the card she made using the color palette from page 124.

This is a card she made me to put inside the card holder.

Scrapbuck haul

Well you all have heard me say about how great Scrapbuck is.  I wanted to show you my latest order.  I placed my order late Wed. night and it came today (Monday) by USP.  I got all this for $25.90 and free shipping!  I am not affiliated with them in any way.  Just like sharing a good deal.  Especially in this horrible economy it is nice to find a store where you can get a lot for a little.

All these packs of flowers (19 total) were on clearance for .60¢  They are great for cards you send in the mail.  They are not bulky.

I know it is hard to see but the trim was 2 yards of cream satin for only a buck.  I got 2 of each kind I liked.  They had lots of variety.  The box of K&Co. chipboard was only $3.50.  It is Christmas but it has Victorian Christmas designs and I just love it.  I will put it away for Christmas.  I was afraid if I didn't get it, it might be sold out before I got one.  The other is a JetAdore Embellishment box for $5.00.  That was a Valentine's gift to me.....LOL.

Happy Crafting All!!

Pink!

I made a quick card up for CARDZ TV

Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #5
"Tickled Pink!"
Create a card or craft project using pink as your
primary color.

I used the Cricut Paisley cart.
Doing this challenge I realized I need to shop for some more paper.  I need some pinks.  I have plenty of solid colored card stock but I need some patterned pink.  Ok I got my excuse now to shop.......lol

Kim's cards

Wow it is chilly outside.  I was just outside taking pictures of the cards Kim sent me for our swap.  I get the best pictures when I take them in natural light.  If the cards are slightly tilted sorry about that the wind was blowing some and it made it hard to get a perfectly straight card.  Even so this batch of cards are gorgeous!  Kim did some different techniques for each card.  One she used clear card stock.  How cool was that.  I also got a few extra goodies in my package.  Kim sent me some charms, pop up dots, clear circle glue adhesives, address labels, & a hand made envelope using a pretty butterfly paper.  It was like Christmas getting a bunch of goodies, plus some great cards in my package.  Thanks Kim!!  I loved everything.

Birthday card for my boss

I work in a grade school cafeteria.  The head chef, my boss birthday is this Sat.  I made a card for everyone to sign and give to her on Friday.  I used the Cricut cart From my kitchen to cut the apron at 3½".  The background paper is some paper I had forever and I am not sure where it came from.  The bigger rose at the bottom I got from I am roses  It was white and I sprayed it with Tattered Angels cherry blossom.  The smaller roses came from M's dollar bin.  The leaves are from Petaloo which I got at Scrapbuck for 60¢.  You all have to try Scrapbuck out sometime.  They have great prices and free shipping on any order $20.00 or over.  Can you believe that??  20 bucks and I can have a small box of goodies delivered to my house.  They ship fast too.  They don't carry the newest lines.  If your not into having the latest lines, and just want some scrappy stuff for your supplies that is the place.  The apple in the upper corner, and heart sticker on the pocket I got at Wal-Mart.  The little spatula brad I got at my lss a while back.  The doily behind the apron I picked up at AC Moore in their Valentine display.  Love those little things that can add to a card.  Oh and the stick pin in the roses I got at AC Moore also.
